On February 18, the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering held a Promotion Meeting for Overseas Talent Introduction in Conference Room 301 of the Physics Building. Teachers from the school with overseas backgrounds attended the meeting, which was hosted by Chen Yuanping, Dean of the school.

Chen Yuanping introduced to the participating teachers the university's current policies related to overseas talent introduction and talent project application, and put forward two requirements for the participants: first, to maintain close ties with universities where they have studied or visited overseas, continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with teachers from overseas research groups and high-level talents, and constantly improve their own scientific research capabilities; second, to fully leverage their overseas study and visit experiences, mobilize overseas acquaintances to recruit talents, actively apply for various talent projects for returned overseas scholars, and contribute their efforts to the university's overseas talent introduction.

The School of Physics and Electronic Engineering attaches great importance to the introduction and training of returned overseas talents. Over the past five years, the school has introduced 5 returned overseas talents, who have become young backbones of the school. Among them, 1 has been appointed as Jiangsu Distinguished Professor, 1 has been selected into the Macao Young Scholars Program, and 3 have obtained postdoctoral special projects.
